Over 80 army cadets from across Manitoba and the NWT joined together at CFB Shilo for a fabulous weekend of team competition and strategizing. Fourteen 6-man teams worked together to demonstrate their skills in numerous teamwork-based tasks, which included various stations in Area 9 training location, and helping each other through the challenging obstacles at the army training confidence course on base. On Sunday morning, the cadets participated in hands-on demonstrations with CF members of 1 RCHA where Commanding Officer of 1 RCHA, LCol Stewart Taylor, and RSM, CWO Rice, addressed the cadets and CIC officers, encouraging them to continue to strive for excellence in their training in the army cadet program.
First place overall was awarded to 3019 RCACC (Rankin Inlet, NT) with 2520 (1st Regiment RCACC Shilo) only 9 points behind. Third place went to 19 RCACC Portage la Prairie. Bravo Zulu to all participating cadets who competed in one of the warmest weekends in September!
Many thanks goes to 1 RCHA for their outstanding contribution throughout the weekend!
