23, 24 May 2015 - Rocky Mountain National Army Cadet Training Centre - More than 350 cadets and adults representing 38 squadrons from across Alberta, NWT and the Yukon Territories participated in SurvivAir 2015. It was a challenging and fun weekend competition that reinforced aircrew survival skills taught at each squadron as part of the mandatory air cadet training program. Cadets in 36 teams moved to a variety of stations ranging from Shelters and Fires to Snares and Ground to Air Signals. Other stations included Biathlon, Fitness and First Aid. The team-based weekend activity allowed participants to demonstrate unit morale and esprit de corps. Senior air cadets acted as evaluation staff to develop their leadership abilities while enhancing their expertise in survival skills. Photo by Capt Grant Cree.
